When a woman becomes a mother, she immediately fits into the role,
Loving you and taking care of you right from the word go.
They make sure you’re ok, and are always there to cheer you up,
From when you’re trying to take you’re first steps right until you’ve grown up.
Even when you’re in the mother’s womb, she cares for you like you’re already there,
Feeding you and keeping you warm, showering you with love and care.
Pushing you out of their womb they never give up on you,
Making sure to keep on going so that they and you can both get through!
When you’re a fresh little baby, they feed you with their milk,
Cuddling you and singing to you while changing your diaper and wrapping you in fine silk.
Holding your hand while taking your first steps, you’ll know they’ll be there,
Carrying you to your first day in school, making sure you’re tidy with a nice neat plait in your hair!
They comfort you in your darkest days, when you go through that hormonal, crazy stage,
Being able to relate with you and understand how you feel no matter what your age.
And even though you might not agree on all the same things,
We know they want the best for us, and, in the end, love and joy is what they will always bring!
